Traditional Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine

Traditional Chinese Medicine dates back to 3000 years ago.
It includes modalities for treating the overall health and wellness of people.

Very thin, single use sterile needles are used to create microtraumas in the skin at certain points on the body. These microtraumas in the skin promote healing within the body by stimulating the neurohormonal pathways to activate the immune system to respond and increase circulation. These points are located on twelve meridians or channels that are believed to run through the entire body in multiple layers. This allows acupuncture to treat a variety of symptoms ranging from superficial trauma or skin issues and pain to deeper, more chronic disorders in the digestive system and brain.
Cupping -  A suctioning technique used to pull up toxins and stagnation through the skin. Cups can either be made of silicone or glass. This is a technique often used for pain, although light cupping can be used on the face and body to reduce sagging and cellulite by helping the body nourish the layers of muscle and skin. This technique is included in pricing below.

Herbal Medicine

Herbal medicine is derived from plants and foods that were local to Asia thousands of years ago. Many of these foods are still currently eaten, and are often seen as superfoods such as goji berries, walnuts and sesame seeds. Some concern has been raised in the past to animal products used in Chinese Medicine. We ensure to procure our herbs only through reputable sources that assure their products are ethically obtained.  Herbal Supplements are available for cash only.

Initial visits consist of an in depth health history and a constitutional evaluation as well as a short treatment. Here we will discuss what an effective treatment plan would look like. Follow-up treatments consist of a shorter interview and a longer treatment. In both, I will employ adjunctive therapies where appropriate including massage, cupping, or other modalities.
